Seasonal crops are cultivated on the farm and are packed for a leading South African retailer in the certified organic, Eurepgap accredited packshed.

This means that all the packing is done under stringent health conditions, thus ensuring that hygiene and food safety is never compromised.

Packed produce is delivered in a refrigerated vehicle to ensure that the cold chain is never broken.

Seasonal fruit and veg baskets available weekly

Hathaway Farm also stocks a wide range of other organic products not cultivated on the farm and delivers seasonal vegetable baskets to the Cape Peninsula areas on a weekly basis.

Customers may order what they would like, and the produce is carefully packed into plastic baskets (never wood as this is very unhygienic, harbours harmful bacteria and strictly prohibited according to European standards) and in cooler bags for the heat sensitive produce.

The baskets are delivered in an insulated truck which ensures quality and freshness.
